Case Study
Avril Hsu
I was talking with my friend. I was like, "Hey this is too good to be true," I wish I could have taken this sooner, because, can you imagine if I already have these results in 64 days, what will it look like in a year?
Tell us what you do and how personal knowledge management plays a part of your work or personal life.
I'm a designer, I've been creating things for around 15 years or so. I use my personal knowledge management to use seeds or ideas I planted in the past weeks or months to develop my ideas and help me reach my goal. My PKM is an extended environment to help me think, memorize, and compound my knowledge in a sustainable way.
Can you share with us about your Linking Your Thinking Journey?
Joining the Linking Your Thinking Workshop has been an incredible journey of personal and professional growth for me. When I set my goals of building an online presence and relocating to California last year, I knew I had a lot to figure out: What am I gonna write what platform I'm gonna use? What topic am I gonna do? And what is my writing process?
I Googled and searched for resources that could help me achieve more. That's where I stumbled upon the Linking Your Thinking Conference. The workshop caught my attention, too, but I hesitated because of the cost and my impending move.
However, after attending the free events and witnessing the impact of the workshops, I knew I had to invest in myself.
Has the LYT Workshop surprised you in any way?
The workshop taught me the power of a fluid system and how it can empower me to think and create freely. I shifted my mindset from striving for 100% completion before producing anything to embracing the idea that even a small fraction of progress can lead to tangible results. The workshop's teachings resonated with me deeply.
How is the workshop changing the game for you?
The outcome has been incredible. In just 64 days, I've achieved more than I ever thought possible. I've secured speaking engagements, made substantial progress on my projects, and even received invitations to future events.
Looking back, I wish I had discovered this workshop earlier, but I'm excited for what the future holds now that I have these invaluable tools and insights.
Anything else?
Just want to share I'm so glad I signed up for the Linking Your Thinking workshop. And also so glad to hear that Nick said he evolves his workshop every time he goes. SUPER helpful and a great experience. Inspirational and practical at the same time. I will definitely come back for the next one. And hopefully, one day I can sign up to be the mentor. This is a section I'm super interested in.
