"You have no idea what the leverage actually is that you can gain from something like this. Everything I do, all the projects that I work on, how I manage my life, everything right now is just amplified." ~ Andy Pedersen

Why AI still doesn't feel like yours even after months of using it.

You have to explain yourself every time
Every new chat is a blank slate. You paste in your background, your goals, your voice. Again. The Al has no idea who you are—and no way to find out.
You stopped thinking and didn't notice
You got a sharp response. You moved on. You didn't question it, didn't push back. Slowly, you've abdicated your most valuable resource: your thoughts. And it happened so quietly you missed it.
Your AI never pushes back
It's always available, never inconvenient, and far too agreeable. No challenge, no surprise, no friction. We need the human. And the human-to-human. But it's easy to forget that when the AI always says yes.
You have more to process than you ever will
AI gives you so many interesting findings and avenues to explore. But you just have mountains more to process. The mountain just keeps getting taller—and your mind is ready to quit.
"It's not that AlI doesn't work. It's that you've been building on rented ground—and every time the landlord changes the rules, you lose your footing."

This is for you if...

You're tired of re-explaining context every time you open a chat window.
You have hundreds of notes—and Al still feels generic when you use it.
You want Al to work with your thinking, not to replace it.
You're not a developer. You don't write code. But you want to do more.
You paid for AI before and it didn't work for you.
You're skeptical about AI, but curious about learning the best ways to use it.

This is not for you if...

You want AI to think for you.
You want AI to write for you and post on social media.
You're a programmer running 10 simultaneous agents.
You want a collection of prompts and hacks.
You don't have any notes, ideas, or knowledge of your own.

If you want Al to think for you, you're in the wrong spot. Linking Your Al helps you build a system where you stay in the driver's seat, so that Al supports and amplifies your thinking and never replaces it.

Four things your AI can do.

Synthesizer
Piece things together.
Use AI as a research assistant, pattern-finder, information architect, and janitor.
  • Deep Research: Combine external research with AI knowing what is already in your notes, to support far richer understanding.
  • Weekly Review: Have AI review your week and report back. You’ll be pleasantly surprised at what it reminds you of.
  • Metadata Janitor: Magically clean up your notes, add images, use metadata to organize them powerfully.
  • Micro-Wikis: Build a personal reference on any new topic for rapid knowledge acquisition.
Producer
Get things done.
Use AI as an executive assistant, chief of staff, or just a general task rabbit.
  • Meetings: Turn meetings into concrete next actions.
  • Emails: Triage, prioritize, and even draft emails.
  • Scheduling: Schedule events and even invite people.
  • Transcripts: Turn any video into a transcript you can always reference.
  • Briefings: Get comprehensive briefings—not just on your calendar and emails, but your recent notes, thoughts, and ideas.
Inner Guide
Support your reflections.
Use AI as a mirror, a journal companion, and a witness to your thinking.
  • Dossier Builder: Build a living portrait of who you are (your values, your voice, your patterns) that your AI can use for every future conversation.
  • Personal Review: Reflect on your reflections over the past month. Be reminded of what matters and set clearer intentions for the next month.
  • Health Assistant: Get personalized feedback on your health, body, and how you feel—grounded in your own notes.
  • Habit Tracker: Check in on what stuck, what slipped, and what’s worth adjusting.
Creative
Support your expressions.
Use AI as a proofreader, an editor, or just a general collaborator.
  • The Proofreader: Get help identifying typos.
  • The Sounding Board: Have an always available place to get fast feedback. (Even if it’s not the best, it’s still feedback, and that’s often enough to keep your momentum.)
  • Your Writing Style Guide: Have AI review your writing based on YOUR style guide…so it calls you out if you use three dots more than once in a written piece...like this one ;)
  • Your Visual Style Guide: Have AI apply your visual style guide when it creates mockups for you.
Who this is for

You have notes.
AI just doesn't know it yet.

Introducing

AI OS
An operating system for working with AI.

Between your notes and any AI, sits the translation layer: the suite of manuals, skills, playbooks, and procedures that change the entire game. You're no longer starting from scratch every conversation. And you’re no longer trapped in any one AI app.
Rent the AI layer

Own the translation layer

In the course, you can use the interactive Thinking Partner Auto-Builder
for a step-by-step guide to create the maps and manuals that will power your own customized thinking partner.

The three rules of
how to engage with AI.

Prompts go out of date, special hacks have a short shelf life,
these rules are timeless.
Rule one
I
Imagine

Use Al to open up possibilities you wouldn't have considered on your own. Without imagination, people treat Al like a fancy search engine-they get answers, never insights.

Rule two
D
Discern

Exercise critical judgment on every Al output. Al will tell you what you want to hear. Without discernment, you copy and paste your way to a mushy mind. Your judgment is the filter. Never outsource it.

Rule three
I
Integrate

Close the loop. Apply insights back into your notes and your thinking. Without integration, you're just having expensive conversations. The output has to land somewhere—in your vault, in your work, in your life.

The problems you have with AI are really about how you are engaging with it.
These universal rules ensure you always stay firmly in the driver’s seat.
"I am conquering overwhelm."
"I am conquering overwhelm."
"I am conquering overwhelm."
"I am conquering overwhelm."
"I am conquering overwhelm."

What will you leave Linking Your AI saying?

Every other Al course teaches you techniques. Linking Your Al teaches you how to engage. The difference is everything.

"The problem is not about what Al is doing.
It's how you are engaging with it. You're not following the rules. Practice how."

Nic Milo

Hi, I'm Nick Milo.

I've spent the past six years teaching people that their thinking matters. I've been yelling from the rooftops "your words over their words," to "stop collecting, and start connecting," and to prioritize "your insights over more highlights."

So how can I—of all people—be okay telling you to build an Al thinking partner?

How can I be okay with letting Al think for me?

I'm not.

But AI is here to stay so I want to champion timeless principles and best practices for how to engage with it, without losing the most important thing: our own thoughts.

Our responsibility at LYT has been to engage with AI so that we can advocate for the best practices now—on our terms—instead of when it feels no longer in our control.

That’s what AI OS gives you. Control. As does IDI.

We have created a path into using AI without losing yourself.

When you’re ready, I hope you use and adopt these universal methods.

Best,
Nick
